2010 Season

The format for the 2010 season is getting close to being finalised and information is now available for members.
TEKA will be keeping the 3 class format which will see the A and B grades amalgamated into one Honda class, Briggs and Stratton will remain a seperate class and we will return to having an non-championship N grade.
Honda Class
License Requirements for the Honda Class
Each driver must have a minimum AKA D grade Provisonal licence.
Accepted licenses:
AKA D Grade Provisional
AKA C Grade
AKA B Grade
AKA A Grade
Briggs and Stratton Class
License Requirements for the Briggs and Stratton Class
Each driver must have a minimum AKA B Grade license, drivers meeting the B Grade license criteria may be eligible to compete in the Briggs and Stratton Class at the discretion of the TEKA committee.
Accepted licenses:
AKA B Grade
AKA A Grade
N Grade
N Grade is a non-championship class and is open to all karts and competitors that do no fully comply to the other classes eg. underweight or non TEKA sealed engines although N Grade karts must still comply to scruitneering requirements.
License Requirements for the N Grade
Each driver must have a minimum AKA D grade Provisonal licence.

How does my license progress from one level to the next?
D Grade - C Grade
You must have competed in 3 AKA events and completed flag mashlling duties at an AKA event that you are not competing in. Your AKA license must endorsed at each event.*
C Grade - B Grade
Compete in 8 AKA events and have your license endorsed at each event.*
B Grade - A Grade
Must have won a state tilte. Refer to the AKA for further clarification.*
*Your license must be submitted via the licensing officer for upgrading and new grade does not take effect until received back from the AKA.
