Supercars team enter endurance kart race!

Popular Supercars team Preston Hire Racing have proudly entered an endurance kart in the TEKA Eastern Creek Raceway meet on 23rd July accompanied by a more familiar face.

Charlie Schwerkolt, Team Owner of Preston Hire Racing and Karl Reindler, Endurance co-driver of Preston Hire Racing will pilot a brand new Joker chassis specially prepared by Sydney Karting Warehouse for the July event.

With a wealth of experience and an intense passion for motorsport the pair plan to battle with the best from the TEKA 2017 Championship.

In 2015 Charlie formed Team #18 as an independent entity in the Supercars series. Naming rights sponsor, Preston Hire, joined the team during the 2015 Supercars season creating Preston Hire Racing for the 2016 and 2017 Championships.

Urban myth says that Charlie is quite handy behind the wheel and competitors shouldn’t be fooled by his jovial persona. He will bring his competitive and determined spirit to the track that has proven to withstand adversity and come out on top!

Karl Reindler has a wealth of experience under his belt across multiple motorsport categories. Karl was a star performer in open-wheelers, held the 2004 Formula-3 Championship title, became a full time Supercars driver for a number of years, has driven in the Bathurst 12hr securing pole position and more recently is the CAMs Driver Development Manager helping train the best of Australia’s young motorsport talent to compete at the top level.

Karl is known to love a chat, however will have eyes forward and stealth-like focus as he takes to the Eastern Creek track.

Preston Hire Racing will continue to support their three existing karting teams currently competing in The Endurance Karting Association’s 2017 Championship. The Eastern Creek event will see a record 4 teams entered under the one entity – Karts #18, #81, #15 and #51.

The new Preston Hire Racing Kart team have nominated a well known racer and TEKA regular to fill the 3rd driver spot, stay tuned to find out who??
